Useful Tools to Help Conduct Due Diligence on Charities

As a follow up to our previous recommendation that you conduct due diligence on charities before you donate, which can be seen here, we recommend you use Charity Navigator as one of your tools to conduct this due diligence. Although you should source information from multiple sources anytime you are conducting due diligence – whether it be a charity, an investment, an investment professional, or some other professional service provider – Charity Navigator has been around for well over a decade and it is the nation’s largest evaluator of charities. We believe it can act as one of the tools to help you to evaluate a charity’s efficiency, governance, sustainability, and transparency.
