Atlanta/Naples Firm Vernon Litigation Group Files Another Miller Energy Case Versus Oppenheimer Regarding Former Advisor Abraham Heimann

October 5, 2017, Atlanta, GA., — The Law Firm of Vernon Litigation Group and Attorney Kristian P. Kraszewski have joined forces again to file another FINRA arbitration claim on behalf of an investor victimized by Abraham Heimann. Mr. Heimann is a former stockbroker with Oppenheimer and Cetera Advisors. A review of Heimann’s CRD reveals that he is no longer registered with FINRA as a financial advisor and he worked for 7 different brokerage firms over his career.

Mr. Heimann was one of the largest sellers in the country of a stock called Miller Energy. Mr. Heimann effectively represented Miller Energy as a great investment opportunity to many of his former clients. In 2015 Miller Energy declared bankruptcy, and Mr. Heimann’s former clients effectively lost millions of dollars. Mr. Heimann now has 5 arbitration complaints against him for his concentrated sales in Miller Energy and other oil-related recommendations. Mr. Heimann’s former clients that have filed arbitration claims now include a 94 year old war hero with Parkinsons, an 85-year-old retiree with Alzheimers, and at least one other victim with Parkinsons. The most recent Claim asserts that the Miller Energy losses in the portfolio were compounded by additional energy investments in FX Energy. Mr. Heimann’s concentrated investment strategies caused the investor to lose approximately $200,000 of his irreplaceable retirement savings during a time when the overall markets enjoyed record returns.

Investors with similar concentrations in Miller Energy and oil have contacted Vernon and Kraszewski. It is widely expected that additional arbitrations will be filed regarding Mr. Heimann’s improper recommendations to his clients at Oppenheimer and Cetera.
