As part of our commitment to civic and charitable endeavors, Vernon Litigation Group is sponsoring The Education Foundation’s 8th Annual If the Shoe Fits Event to be celebrated on December 1st, 2010 at Saks Fifth Avenue in Naples, Florida.

If the Shoe Fits raises money to support a wonderful cause – the Take Stock in Children Scholarship and Mentoring program of The Education Foundation. Take Stock in Children is a statewide program that helps deserving children from low-income families achieve academic and personal success through scholarships and mentor support. The Take Stock program makes a multi-year commitment to children, providing a comprehensive array of services from the time they enter the program in eighth grade through their graduation from college.

During this event, Kathleen Passimodo will be recognized as the newest recipient of the Glass Slipper Award.  This award is given every year for dedication and service for the betterment of Collier County children.  Kathleen served as Co-Chair of the Connect Now Task Force, which held conversations with community members that resulted in a statement outlining what the community wants for its schools.  Susan Healy, of Vernon Litigation Group, was proud to serve with Kathleen on the Connect Now Task Force.

Kathleen Passimodo is a respected Collier County attorney who also received the 2010 Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for providing legal services to the poor and was one of the Foreclosure Task Force members honored as the Collier County Women’s Bar Association’s 2009 Attorney of the Year.
